Hello, not sure whether the appropriate people are monitoring the IRC channel, so I'm sending this over the list as well.
(http://)dev.mutt.org is occasionally unresponsive from the IPv6 world. The connection simply times out which allows failover to IPv4, but only after a timeout of around three minutes on most systems (so it's pretty unusable when it happens). bschm...@lxbsc01:~$ traceroute6 -q1 dev.mutt.org traceroute to dsg.kublai.com (2001:470:e865::1) from 2001:4ca0:0:f000:211:43ff:fe7e:3a76, port 33434, from port 57265, 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 vl-23.csr2-2wr.lrz-muenchen.de (2001:4ca0:0:f000::2) 0.456 ms 2 vl-3051.csr1-2wr.lrz-muenchen.de (2001:4ca0:0:51::1) 0.428 ms 3 xr-gar1-te1-3-108.x-win.dfn.de (2001:638:c:a003::1) 32.214 ms 4 2001:638:c:c043::2 (2001:638:c:c043::2) 8.289 ms 5 de-cix.he.net (2001:7f8::1b1b:0:1) 8.025 ms 6 10gigabitethernet1-4.core1.ams1.he.net (2001:470:0:47::1) 14.930 ms 7 10gigabitethernet1-4.core1.lon1.he.net (2001:470:0:3f::1) 22.721 ms 8 10gigabitethernet2-3.core1.nyc4.he.net (2001:470:0:3e::1) 91.739 ms 9 10gigabitethernet3-1.core1.sjc2.he.net (2001:470:0:33::1) 171.044 ms 10 10gigabitethernet1-1.core1.sea1.he.net (2001:470:0:39::2) 189.927 ms 11 2001:470:0:9b::2 (2001:470:0:9b::2) 190.972 ms 12 * 13 * 14 * It used to work for a short period of time just after I reported that to the IRC channel (so I thought someone had silently fixed it), but now it is gone again. This behaviour is consistent with a stateful IPv4 firewall dropping proto-41 (IPv6-in-IPv4) packets from outside when no such packet had been sent before. Please have a look at it and thanks for offering services on IPv6 anyway. Regards, Bernhard
