Hi,

I'm registered in mutt's trac and subscribed to mailing-lists, but not sure if it's possible or even desired to commit my patches back to repository.

For example the ticket http://dev.mutt.org/trac/ticket/3506 - there is a security issue and my proposed changes seems to work properly, but there is no reaction from other contributors. Is it possible to apply these changes into scm by myself? Or generally, what is necessary to do to be able to apply patches by myself?

When I tried to push the changes back to repository, "remote: ssl required" message was printed and I'm not sure how can I do it right. Can somebody explain it to me? (I'd used git and svn before, but mercurial is new for me)

Cheers,

Honza
