Note: I know almost nothing about the ncurses API, but this patch just
adds consistency in the code. There is still ambiguity concerning ADDCOLOR
(it was also inconsistent), but after testing with and without
$arrow_cursor and with different fg and bg colors, BKGDSET doesn't seem
necessary here.
