I'm a long-time mutt user and in general a happy one. Mostly, mutt does
what I want with a UI that is reasonably intuitive given my experience of
other programs sharing similar design tropes.
There is one horrible exception. It's what happens if you invoke the
selection list for PGP keys, discover you don't have a matching one,
and try to back out.
There is a grossly *unintuitive* keystroke combination that climbs
you out of this trap. I think it's Ctrl-G Ctrl-J - but I fall in just
seldom enough that I have trouble remembering it. Nor is it documented,
or if it is it's described in some obscure corner that's hard to find.
I've been meaning to gripe about this for years. Best solution: a line
of help on the selection display describing how to select and how to back out.
It would be nice if a plain Esc worked for backing out, as this is
what users are likely to expect as a mode escape.
