I'm guessing that they fail to pass some isw?print(3) check.
P.S.: Dependend on the context QP-encoding tab as =09 is normal and
correct according to RFC, and mutt(1) itself can end up doing so.
P.P.S.: i have glanced over Mercurial log and haven't seen any message
that seems to address this.
