You know, you may be right! :-) I'm not sure how I convinced myself we
couldn't put it inside the mutt_create_filter* functions; most of them do
seem to be used for output that will be displayed in the index/pager.
There are a few places that aren't: {{{mutt_open_read}}},
{{{mutt_extract_token}}} but I don't think setting COLUMNS to the pager
width would have a terrible effect.
So, that makes it much easier then. No need to worry about restoring
anything.
