I reported this earlier but there was no response. After upgrading from
Xubuntu 22.04 to 24.04, this add-on now fails. These are the error
messages generated. I believe that it is due to changes with the python
library between the two versions of the OS. Unfortunately, I am not
familiar with python, and I'm hoping that the author can identify and
correct the problems.
Which python version do you have installed?
I am the author of muttils, but I cannot help with Xubuntu
packaging, and I did not continue to distribute muttils via
BitBucket for various reasons. The latest version works with
python 3.8 - 3.12 and is available at:
https://hg.phloxic.productions/muttils
The easiest way to install atm is probably to grab tarball of the
latest commit via
https://hg.phloxic.productions/muttils/archive/tip.tar.bz2
And then install locally somewhat like so:
$ tar xf muttils-71e88612e67f.tar.bz2
$ cd muttils-71e88612e67f
$ pip3 install --user .
It pretty much works for me[tm], but I am aware that it could use
some love, updated docs etc. Right now though, lack of time is my
enemy in this regard.
