I have 'set message_id_format=<%Y%02m%02d%02H%02M%02S.G%c%p@%f>', which is the old format, in my .muttrc and I'm happy with it. I was not happy with the change that came with 2.0 as I had to touch my muttrc, because others did not like the default. People are free to choose whatever they want and set message_id_format. Let the default be what it is. I don't see any need to bikeshed this topic anymore. But as I already have message_id_format set I don't really care as long as this option keeps working as it does now. :-)
