bind behaves wrong for key

Hi,
        I am trying to bind a key in the alias menu to select the
        current entry and exit out the alias menu and go back to the
        To: prompt.

        I have tried the following and it works fine:

                bind alias s select-entry

        But when I try:

                bind alias <enter> select-entry

        It still only tags the message. I also tried this, and does not
        work either, any ideas?

                macro alias <enter> "t;q" "tag the msg and exit out the alias menu"
