Here's an exapmle of what I meant. When my threads are collapsed, I
see, for example

 352  2    (20) 020429 loren             (  9) How can i make vim
 354       (20) 020429 Sukesh            (  8) Editor Designing In C++
 355  5n   (20) 020429 Jeroen Valcke     (  9) VIM: indent behaviour

       ^This collapsed thread has new messages, and I would like to
        colorize msg 355 (which itself is not new)
