If you look at the mutt.org website, there are links to different
peoples .muttrc and their various keybindings.  Between the manual and
these examples, you should be able to get the idea.  

The brackets delimit the text version of a command that Mutt
interprets as the actual command.  If you look at the end of the Mutt
manual, you'll see a lists of the commands broken down by the
different parts of Mutt (pager, index, compose).  So <save-message> is
the equivelant of the s key and saves a message to a directory.  The
macro <save-message>=some-folder\n saves a message to some-folder which
is under $MAIL.
