Nope, but it's educational to know that's there, if I ever need it. I wondered if I'd inadvertently zapped the unterminated last line in a "color" regex, but there's nothing fancy there: color bold red default color hdrdefault yellow default color indicator yellow default color signature yellow default color quoted yellow default color header green default ^From color header cyan default ^Subject color normal green default color status white default There's nothing else related to the display in .muttrc. I suppose I could use a display_filter to append a newline to every message. The problem should then go away. Erik
