I am running Mutt 1.5.20 (2009-06-14) on Darwin 10.3.0 (i386) When I send mail, at the bottom of the screen I see a number of messages flash by, one of them involving SSH (it goes by too fast to see), and then it says "authenticating PLAIN."
The sending part of my .muttrc is: set smtp_url=smtps://[email protected]@host144.hostmonster.com:465/ set smtp_pass=****** ... and I think the port number and the "smtps" mean I am sending encrypted. Am I really authenticated in the clear? Pete -- Peter Stoddard
