Hi,

Sorry to reply to my e-mail but I just remembered something after
sending the e-mail: My company switched to using LDAP a while back (and
my Mail directory is mounted via LDAP).  The issues didn't start at that
time, but I had less Mail files then.  Most likely LDAP has something to
do with the slowness I would think.
