What lists / subscriptions do you have in your .muttrc? If you're using the 'L' list response command, you should only reply to the listed list address.
If you're still having issues, you might try a send-hook to catch the list you don't want to send to and rewrite the address appropriately. Are you sure that there's not a relay/mirror somewhere else that's duplicating your mail? Could you post headers?
