No, it's an independent mail provider. Moreover, OfflineIMAP syncs
mails every 5 minutes, and the scored is lowered to 0 simply every
time I close Mutt and re-open it; my guess is that this issue has
nothing to do with OfflineIMAP.

I'm using Mutt 1.5.21 on Ubuntu 12.04.
