Bingo!, I'd say. My mutt 1.5.20 (2009-06-14) has: patch-1.5.13.cd.ifdef.2 while Mutt 1.5.21+145 lists no patches. But that patch isn't listed at: http://dev.mutt.org/trac/wiki/PatchList I think I'll just do without. Much better to have a more current version. (There were 30,500 google hits for "patch-1.5.13.cd.ifdef.2". Grubbing through that exceeds my masochism threshold, especially for eye candy.) Thank you for taking an interest in the mystery.
