I figured it out - graphicsmagick was corrupted. For some reason uninstalling and removing the configuration files for graphicsmagick then reinstalling gm didn't solve the problem. So I changed the mailcap file to use ImageMagick and now I can see images again.

Hi Guys, I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 and had to reinstall my system. I backed up my home directory prior to the reinstall and then copied everything back into home when I had finished. Mutt is almost working the way it was prior to reinstallation. Now when I try to view an attached image by pressing v and the number of the image I get the following error: gm display: Unable to load font (-*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1) [Resource temporarily unavailable]. Does anyone know what this means or how I can fix it? Thank you -- John
