Hello, I do not know if Mutt has a such option, but my solution for this type of problem was (is) installing a local imap server. For instance offlineimap. My Mutt only talks to offlineimap which synchonizes regularly with the server. (therefore, I have a local copy of all my emails). Regards, JC
