The domain is my own local home lan. Last year I retired the system acting as the mail server. On the replacement server I'm using postfix for the first time. Users get their mail from the server via POP3. When I sent mail for someone on the local lan, I was getting loops of the message being passed back and forth but not delivered to the users mailbox on the server. The problem was "fixed" by making mail addressed to the domain be delivered locally, i.e. local to the originating host. Thus to get mail to someone else's workstation I had to add their host name to the address. I think I've found a solution/workaround in the postfix config, but I'm still puzzled why this send hook had no effect. send-hook '~t [email protected]' 'my_hdr To: [email protected]' -- Jon H.
