Hi,
You might be interested in mutterer [1], a tool to centralise and
automate the configuration of offlineimap and mutt (as well as
msmtp). Full disclaimer: I'm the author, so this is shameless
advertising on my part.
Now, to answer your question, if offlineimap is failing, that's
independent of mutt, so you might be better off in the offlineimap
mailing list. Still, you might want to check that you are specifying
the correct port and that you have a certificate file loaded. Here's
a piece of my config. Pay attention to 'remoteport', 'ssl', and
'sslcacertfile' especially.
[Account x]
localrepository = local_x
remoterepository = remote_x
[Repository local_x]
localfolders = /home/xx/.mail/x
type = Maildir
[Repository remote_x]
remotehost = imap-mail.outlook.com
remotepass = mypassword
remoteport = 993
remoteuser = [email protected]
ssl = yes
sslcacertfile = /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
type = IMAP
Good luck!
