Hello! I'm abit new to struts so forgive me if this is stupid. I read Ted Husted's javatip#4 (http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=915891) on Jguru about formatting using message templates (I have asked this in a reply there but I'm unsure if that was the right thing to do so I try here on the list instead, I apologize for the double posting). I want to show a Date diffrently in diffrent Locales so I put departureDate=Depaturedate: {0,date,long} in my properties file. But then I realized that the "bean:message" only takes Strings as arguments. Can anybody explain a good way to format a date? I made my own customtag that take a dateformat pattern (ex. "yyyy-MM-dd") that I have like this "datum.formatpattern=yyyy-MM-dd" in the properties file. If this is explained somewhere I would be very happy to get a pointer as to where
