My room mate saw the lady who stand behind us was trying to snatch someone purse, She caught her and shouted. Immediately the lady pick pocket gave the signal to her group like "chalo, chalo". We couldn't caught others. In pothys, the person who is standing near to the step he came and he molding us to go the security place since they don't want to scare the customers and business. We found, the most horrible happening in the security office only. The stubborn lady PP, was very strong and she is from calcutta it seems, She told like she is staying in Alandur, Chennai. She was not acting at least that she has not taken the purse. Since she knows all the loop holes. One of the security officer who operates the Camera only answered and asked questions to her. He opened her bag, she has purda, she said she is a muslim, but she has Bindi, She told bengali muslims can have bindi.In between she called her gang and alerted them. The security office employees never asking her the phone to back, They simply sat and enjoyed.Then we told them to call police. Police came,and one person he knows hindi it seems, He was about translate what she spoke, but he was not correctly translating, he was adding words like she is a heart patient, don't ask more questions like, He was visibly supporting her and we were the eye witness peoples and we know hindi. We interacted, he told, "stop mam, we are enquiring". The crime police also came for our eye wash. I was crying for a long time like " I don't need my money..I need my cards,documents back". I don't know how the message reached. but after 2 hrs, Pothys employee came with purses among one was mine. I got my purse with all the cards,documents, pen drive. Only she and her gang took my money about 4000Rs. The security peoples sitting in the office told me that as u wish u got what ever u need, so no need to feel" We came out. Within 5 min the lady PP also came out. They released her without taking any actions. "The incident clearly shows us, She and her gang have link with the Pothys employee and the Police. It clearly visualized they are getting bribe from their gang.The police also not asking much questions with her. The employees supports her even though we caught her red-handedly when snatching other purse. We understood, Pothys is not valuing their Customers. I couldn't go to police station or press. I can do only the awareness among us. Please be careful when you are going T-nagar with purse and money. Better to avoid shopping in Pothys, my kind opinion."
