Position : Disaster Recovery Coordinator General Job Summary: Responsible for establishing and implementing plans to ensure that, in the event of a disaster, applications and services are available within timeframes defined by the organization. This responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance and validation of the Disaster recovery plans and participating in the recovery effort, should a disaster actually occur. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: • Review and analyze applications, supporting platforms and network architecture and to develop and implement Disaster Recovery solutions. • Review Disaster Recovery procedures for critical applications and servers. • Schedule, coordinate and report on disaster recovery tests. • Review technology requirements included in Business Recovery Plans for CIT’s worldwide locations and implement Disaster Recovery solutions. • Review, update and enforce CIT’s Business Continuity standard. • Document and maintain the Corporate IT Business Recovery Plan • Evaluate and recommend Disaster Recovery products and services. • Negotiate and maintain contracts with DR Providers and Offsite Storage Providers for local and global CIT locations. • Conduct Disaster Recovery training for Business Recovery Plan Coordinators and IT teams. • Provide support for Data Center Services projects and initiatives. • Ensure remain in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements including audit and Sarbanes-Oxley Additional Responsibilities • Assist Manager in managing-assigning-reporting status of daily workload/projects of the department. • Assist Manager in DR Coordinator’s accountabilities Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Technical knowledge of IT systems and Architecture. • Strong project management skills. • Strong communication and technical writing skills. • Ability to work independently and to juggle multiple priorities. • Strong analytical skills. Education & Experience: • Standard by band level or grade, across functions and businesses includes certifications need to perform essential functions of the job (ex. CPA) • 5+ years general IT experience in a multi-platform Data Center environment. • 2+ years IT Project Management experience. • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
