Hi

Shivram,

I have a gentle clarification on this autorun.inf ?

do you meant to say autorun.inf is always a virus? i think its No.

If your pendrive is infected through the a virus, that virus may infect
autorun.inf and since autorun.inf is entry point to expore the pendrive.
Hence most of us might encountered autorun.inf is a virus.

But autorun.inf script is defaultly loaded in most pendrive,if you connect
to Pc for 1st time.
Autorun.inf is not a problem, but autorun if infected with virus would
obviously create a big problem.

Eg: Some time make control panel-disabled, show hidden files and folder
option kept disabled always even if you select other option, blocking the
Open and explore options of new partition and continues restart if you try
to end some virus task from task manager are likely symptoms of Virus is
living in Pc/Laptop

Thanks,
