Interview date- 13th & 14th Nov 10 J.D:- Configuration Management Administrator- Service Management Responsible for administration of the configuration management process including tracking compliance and completing defined tasks. The role helps to insure that the mechanics of the process are monitored and that the organization is in compliance with the process. The role also assists process owners by providing reporting and analysis of process operations with a goal toward improving efficiencies and costs. The role will also assist in completion of routine work requests associated with the process. Client responsibilities â–º Interacts with and influences team members. Frequent contact with other IT Services personnel. â–º Broad range of work, sometimes complex and non routine, in variety of environments â–º Performs proactive checks and balances to identify compliance anomalies â–º Maintain and complete compliance reports and post in appropriate repositories. â–º Review compliance reports and identify opportunities for processes/procedural improvements â–º Support process improvement projects and process deployments â–º Assist in process audits â–º Follow scripted procedures to deal with process anomalies â–º Check the successful completion of reconciliation batch jobs â–º Undertake Configuration Librarian role â–º Assist in the validation of configuration data People responsibilities â–º Should have good people management skills with ability to lead and motivate the team â–º Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff â–º Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training â–º Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures â–º Determine when to escalate to management as opposed to following scripted procedures, depending on the seriousness of the anomaly. â–º Analyze process data to identify trends and discover anomalies Skills Requirements â–º BE/BTech/MCA/BSc â–º 2 years experience in an Operational role â–º 1 year experience in a Service Management role with exposure to Change and Release Management â–º 1 year experience in a Configuration Management role â–º Understands and uses appropriate methods tools and applications â–º Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving â–º Takes initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate development opportunities â–º Demonstrates effective communication skills â–º Contributes fully to the work of teams â–º Can plan, schedule and monitor own work (and that of others where applicable) competently within limited time horizons â–º Is able to absorb and apply new technical information â–º Is able to work to required standards and to understand and use the appropriate methods, tools and applications â–º Appreciates wider field of information systems, how own role relates to other roles and to the business of the customer â–º Basic knowledge of the ITIL Service Lifecycles and Processes â–º Basic knowledge of IT Operations, systems and infrastructure â–º Working knowledge of ITIL Configuration Mgmt â–º Experience with BMC Software Remedy- Atrium CMDB module Certification Requirements ITIL V3 Foundation Services Certification Who we are At Ernst & Young, we support you in achieving your unique potential wherever you are in the world - both personally and professionally.
