Hi,

I just bought my fourth MVP (this time from eBay), but it appears to be
defective.

When booting mvpmc-0.3.3, it defaults to NTSC, despite the command line
options to set it to PAL. Switching it to PAL in the settings menu
changes the output standard to 625 lines, but the unit still only produces
525 lines of picture, leaving 100 black lines along the bottom. Worse
still, moving pictures suffer from green and magenta blocking over moving
sections along the bottom of the picture. None of my other three units
behave like this booting the same dongle and config.

I did wonder if it was an old unit, but the hardware is (from memory)
revision D3A, which is identical to one of my other units.

I don't have the Windows software installed anywhere to see what it's like
with that (and none of my Windows machines are really up to the job
anyway).

Has anyone else seen behaviour like this? Is there anything I can do, or
at least test, before I give in and try to return the unit to the guy I
bought it from?

Cheers,
--Dave
