I'm not entirely clear what it is you are trying to accomplish. My best 
guess is that you want your router to hand out IP addresses via DHCP to 
all machines on your LAN *except* the MVP, which presumably will be 
getting its address from a DHCP server running on another box.

I'm not familiar with "tomato", but I'm aware of dd-wrt, and my 
expectation is that it should be running a ported DHCP server that is 
used with other Linux distributions, so the configuration shouldn't be 
all that unique to the WRT environment. Can you identify the DHCP server 
package you are using and post the relevant portions of the 
configuration file?
