My best guess is that you want your router to hand out IP addresses via DHCP to all machines on your LAN *except* the MVP, which presumably will be getting its address from a DHCP server running on another box. I'm not familiar with "tomato", but I'm aware of dd-wrt, and my expectation is that it should be running a ported DHCP server that is used with other Linux distributions, so the configuration shouldn't be all that unique to the WRT environment.
