I've been having a very hard time getting watchable video on my
MVP using mvpmc. It plays video for about 1 second, then pauses
for half a second, then plays for another second, and just keeps
repeating this stutter.

I rebooted the mvp to get a clean slate, and then telnetted into
the box after starting to play a mythtv recording and noticed that
there are a large number of rx packet overruns on eth0:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0D:FE:00:58:DD
          inet addr:192.168.34.13 Bcast:192.168.34.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:17607 errors:940 dropped:0 overruns:940 frame:0
          TX packets:6271 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:25254544 (24.0 MiB) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
          Interrupt:27 Base address:0xd300 DMA chan:1

I tested the network cable feeding my mvp by hooking my laptop in
and was able to run the mythtv frontend on there and watch recordings
from the server with no problem.

Any idea what could cause this?

I'm running mvpmc 0.3.3.

Thanks,

Eric Sharkey
