Ah, it's been a while...

Many of you may not know it, but MVPMC supports IEE Vacuum Florescent 
Displays with serial port adapters.  I haven't done anything with the 
MVPMC code for ages and I am sure it needs a good overhaul. (To see an 
MVPMC with an IEE VFD in action go look at the bottom of the MVPMC's 
Hardware Howto.)

But that's not why I am posting.

I just came across a new Bose offering called a Lifestyle V30 Home 
Theater System.  Yes it has a display - big deal.  What's interesting is 
it has a independent display box you can put anywhere - like on top of 
your TV.  We (MVPMC) can do that.

Now comes the time to eat my hat.  It was suggested to me, probably a 
year ago, to try this on the MVPMC.  There are many inexpensive serial 
port 1 way radio modules out there.  I dismissed it as an added trouble 
point and effort for little payoff.

Now it appear a high end stereo manufacturer is doing exactly that. 
Good thing I don't wear a hat!
