"Work" is a relative term. MVPMC did come up, maybe because it errored out and dropped back to the default in the script? > Also, you'll be happy to know there are provisions in mvpmc to get > DVArchive to work with it. Evidently Jason's code (I think that's the > DVArchive author) isn't exactly like the real thing. I had that working before I got the time set right - DVArchive doesn't care about the time. :-) > Anyways, thought you would be interested in the weather as well - as it > fits your "turn the computer off" paradigm. Thanks! I dismissed that module earlier as the settings screen only let you choose a few cities and it wasn't obvious it was capable of doing my local weather. I wonder why the settings screen doesn't just have you punch in your zip code? Some of the other setup screens allow numerical input... Actually my "big" drive is really not attached directly to my server - it is a cheap "Network Attached Storage" (NAS) box (HD363N) with a 350G in it. As it is always running I could try mounting its samba shares. It is a neat little box the size of an external USB drive with some form of embedded linux running out of flash. I don't know if I would be able to play .mpg video files from the DVArchive folder via the filebrowser... Thanks!
