On my MVP I can review recordings with no problems. I am getting errors

Does anyone have any suggestions or tests that I can do to help
troubleshoot this problem with getting live tv working? I am stuck I'm
afraid. Please note the errors displayed below are the messages reflected
from the mvp telnet session when trying to run livetv.

The message that your seeing simply occurs after livetv has failed to start for a while. It doesn't necessarily reflect that any hostname lookup has failed.

I run the following command on the mvp. 192.168.0.50 is my backend IP.

killall mvpmc
mvpmc -s 192.168.0.50

Here are the errors I am facing

Starting New Live TV!
unknown mythtv BACKEND_MESSAGE 'QUERY_NEXT_LIVETV_DIR 1'
MythTV unknown event (error?)
MythTV event RECORDING_LIST_CHANGE
MythTV event LIVETV_CHAIN UPDATE live-192.168.0.57-1969-12-31T17:05:50

To be honest none of these are actually errors...

But they do seem to reflect that your clock is wrong on your MVP, this will cause the LiveTV to fail to start correctly.

what do you get if you type the "date" command in the telnet session? I'm betting it'll say you're in 1969/1970.

try doing a telnet in,
then doing

ntpclient -s -h pool.ntp.org
then doing a:
date
Does this now reflect the correct date and time?

If you now run mvpmc, does it work?

Cheers,

Simon
