Both have similar--but not exact PVR150s.   The one i'm having trouble 
with is connected via component video / audio to a cable box.   The one 
that works is plugged directly into cable outlet..

I checked and rechecked both profiles, they are set identical, except 
for the tuner connection.

I played a sample from both backends via Mplayer to checked the audio.  
Again, both files are producing similar video and audio configs..
