Ok. I'm just a little embarrassed. Turns out when I added my MVP mac to the
router, I forgot to reboot the router. I have one of those routers that needs
to rebooted before the change can take effect.
Tom, you make a good point. There really is no good reason for me to use MAC
filtering for my wired devices. To answer your question, no, my mvp is not the
wireless version.
So, all is working now, except for live tv, but I will research the message I
receive, and submit a different post if needed.
Thanks to all for the helpful feedback.
Now I now what the red and green bars meant. For someone setting up their
device for the first time, you won't see them on the device, you see them on
your tv screen when the software is loading.
