Yes, you're absolutely right on all counts. Nvidia Ion support is a subset of general nvidia VDPAU support, which is implemented in the MythTV development branch and some unofficial patches for the stable branch. There's a lot of buzz about this. People who have gotten it working are generally very happy with it. > It's too soon to say. We're almost there. The one I've been looking at is the Acer Aspire Revo, which is out in Europe and Australia but I haven't found a vendor in the States yet. This site in the U.K. has them and will ship them for free to the states for US $269.71: http://www.electronicmegastore.com/acer-aspire-revo-desktop-pc-atom-230-p-3249.html?zenid=66bmnm0kicn00jgh20f0789qv0 * NVIDIA® ION™ graphics processors transform today’s low-power PC designs into a premium experience. * NVIDIA® ION™ graphics processors turn up the visuals at a fraction of the size. * NVIDIA® ION™ graphics processors bring DirectX 10 graphics, stunning HD video, NVIDIA® CUDA™ technology, and Windows Vista Premium to the smallest form factors.
