This standard practice irritates me greatly. At some point in the future, I plan to move to a rural location about 75 miles away from the primary network broadcast towers. We can subscribe to various pay TV services (we're already on Dish Network) but the lack of any subchannels is a problem. I plan to invest in some serious OTA reception equipment, but I know it is still going to be a struggle. Recent experiments with a decent but old outdoor antenna & amp were promising but not great; my ATSC tuner knew the 75 mile away stations were there, but could not receive any content.
