Hi...

Sorry if this has been talked about already (didn't see a subject line
though)...

1) shspvr forum is giving away 5 mediamvp-hd boxes. You have to mail
back your answers to these questions:
http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=59414515cb4c893a2364d46a55cc81a1&topic=12261.msg58644#msg58644
...careful, it says "guest" for the above url, but you may want to start
fresh as I see an embedded "ID" string. For all I know you-all will be
entering chances for me :)! (but probably not :O).

2) the mediamvp-hd box is here on hauppauge's web site:
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_mediamvp-hd.html
...I don't know how new this page is - perhaps you have already seen it.
The interesting bit is at the bottom where it gets into the technical
side of the box:

> Technically speaking

> MediaMVP-HD’s CPU engine (a Sigma 8655 processor) runs the Linux
> operating system, and has built-in multimedia hardware for decoding high
> definition MPEG-2 and H.264 videos, digital audio and digital pictures.
> The MediaMVP-HD application can be reloaded through it’s Setup menu.
>
> MediaMVP-HD contains a built-in uPnP client, where the server can be a
> uPnP server such as Windows Media Playe from a Windows 7 PC. Some
> Windows XPs have third party uPnP servers installed and can be used to

> acting as the uPnP media server.
>
