Hi Again, Some more info:
I know think the connection issue is at the Mythtv protocol level (not just at the mysql level). When I attempt to connect to a new mythbackend (mythbackend version: fixes/0.24 [v0.24-243-g9ba3ece]), I see the following suspicious errors about "protocol token" and "Unknown socket closing". Are these new issues in this myth version for mvpmc? 2011-05-09 22:11:01.302 MainServer::HandleVersion - Client speaks protocol version 8 but we speak 63! 2011-05-09 22:11:01.361 MainServer, Warning: Unknown socket closing MythSocket(0x1992d20) 2011-05-09 22:11:01.364 MainServer::HandleVersion - Client did not pass protocol token. Refusing connection! 2011-05-09 22:11:01.453 MainServer, Warning: Unknown socket closing MythSocket(0x1992c00) Thanks, Dan PS: Sorry for the cross post, just not sure who might be listening.
