Johannes, thanks for replying!

I set PYTHONPATH in /etc/profile (yep, i sourced it) but that didn't
seem to help.

I tried both ways: installed with easy_install and then with python
setup.py when it didn't work.

So your second suggestion sounds more likely.

Where is mwlib supposed to be found?
