mwlib is not designed to handle a revision history, although it could be

cdb stands for "constant database", i.e. it cannot be updated.

yes it does, if the parser/template-expander is passed an appropriate wiki  
object

As far as I undertstand, work is under way to be more  
extension-supportive. I can't help you though.
