This last sentence of yours got me thinking, turns out that I had the
api.php in the installation directory but not in the /html/wiki
directory, so I linked it along with the rest of the installation
directory and it worked!!

Now everything runs fine!

Now The only problem I have is with the extension not supporting
bibwiki tags (<bibref>), is there a way to get this working?
