So, if I understand the placement of the custom file, it can be anywhere as long as python can find the file. Being a non-python person, I assume that this means the custom file is read by python without regard to mwlib meaning custom information for other python libraries can also be found in this file. I will play with this and see if we can create a simple user's guide to get the customization up and running. Thanks for a great 'forum'. david.
