Oh, this needs some explanation:

You'll need a patched version of texvc to use that feature.
It's available via http://github.com/schmir/texvc
Make sure it's the first one on PATH in case you have another one
installed. 

The default value when MATH_RESOLUTION is not set, is 120
I've personally tested MATH_RESOLUTION=240 and MATH_RESOLUTION=360.
So, you're allowed to use any positive integer value here (which doesn't
mean that it will work).

(If there had been an obvious place where to document it, I would
probably have done that. But I failed to find it, sorry. Our
documentation is a mess. wikis apparently do not work :)
