Follow up: several bugs that indicated that the session could not be opened have been fixed by now, but the essential problem remains: No pages can be collected in 1.17alpha (r67705).
The session management seems broken. This is probably an interaction with other components (Debian Lenny, setup through a wikifarm with symbolic links). However, on the same server with same software (apache/php/mysql) and identical mediawikisettings, Collection works fine under MediaWiki 1.16alpha (r59858). Something must have been changed in the meantime that breaks session management. Can anyone help?
