I have sort of figured out the problem. And it is not a bug as I earlier
thought. The solution made sense when relating it to Ron's explanation (if
he only explained it further). But figuring out the solution is not as
obviious as you have to play around the software to get to know how the
software works better.

The trick is in the Filter of the TO DO panel. It is the Filter that
controls what is displayed and what is not displayed. If your schedule is
3:00pm today and your current time is 12:00pm, it means your appointed
schedule is not yet due until 3:00pm actually arrives. That is what the
Active Actions Filter is currenty setup. Now, click on the preset of the
Start Date and seletct any one option other than clear. By doing this, you
are telling the software to show all entries with a Start Date of Today to
the next nth days inclusive. You will also notice that your selection will
appear in the To: field of the *Start Date*, for example, Today + 3. Going
further, you can change this to Today + 30 yourself to display your entries
within the next 30 days period. Notice that once you tamper with the
Filter, you will see an * right in front of the active Filter, *Active
Actions (for example). The * tells you that you have have changes to the
current active filter. If you liked the changes that you made, you can then
save your settings by clicking on the Save Settings close to the bottom of
the filter column and save your setting as another name. Do not save it as
Active Actions as the Active Actions will serve as your base template filter
in the future. If you do not like your new setting, simply click on the
Reset Settings to revert back to the 'original' setting of your current
filter.

Gee, I should be hired as 'Tech Support' for MLO.
