Just to say, one solution I use for this is a 'Delete if Complete' context which I set a hotkey to show tasks in this category that have been completed. I like to see all the tasks I complete - I have a closed list in which these show up at the bottom. But every time I rebuild the closed list, I trigger this hot key and can quickly delete all tasks I don't want to keep.
