Short description: Allow the addition of user-defined, customizable
fields, as well as the option to display them, in addition to all
currently existing fields, in both the Outline and To-Do views.

The best thing about MLO is it's extreme versatility and
customizability. Rather than trying to force me into a mold of how I
should use it, MLO provides me with an exceptionally powerful and
flexible tool, and let's me have it my way. That's what brings me back
to MLO again and again, despite trying every competitor on the market.

This idea that would significantly expand that customizability,
following in the direction shown in MLO's awesome new (as of however
many months ago) todo view... I read that adding additional fields to
the outline and todo views might be in development. If you do that,
you might as well allow user-defined fields. That would exponentially
increase the breadth of MLO's potential applications. I would
absolutely love to have a customizable database as flexible as Outlook
(can group by X then by Y then by Z, etc., while simultaneously
sorting by A, then by B, then by C, etc...), but easier to customize.

I don't know much about programming, but it seems like it would
require relatively little change in the basic structure/functionality
of MLO, while creating huge increase in the program's capabilities.
