Hi Jon, I also met this problem of tasks moving around the sorted by date list. And this happens not only with the recurrent tasks, as I like often to rephrase my tasks (I enter them often on the PPC, and thus in a very short form). That's why I came with a solution via contexts --- please check here http://groups.google.com/group/myLifeOrganized/msg/85451cb2f38f7212 . I use this setup more then one week now without any problem, and I haven't lose my original project hierarchy (handy when you need to talk to your boss or just plan for the next step), and all tasks from the inbox are automatically on my last page.
