This request is based on the my increasing dependence on the MLO To-do
view as my daily "hub" of next actions. It'd be great if I could
easily include actions that are external to MLO into the to-do view,
e.g. my Google calendar entries.

I can think of two ways to accomplish this:
1. Let users set a URL for a node, which would get populated
dynamically at a pre-set interval. The URL could be an RSS or ICS
feed that fetches items to display on the To-do view. This is kind of
like Mindmanager's Smart Map Parts:
http://onlinehelp.mindjet.com/robo/projects/mm6help/using_smart_map_parts.htm.
These "special" nodes would be "ready only" (other than maybe a
checkbox, and color) and the user won't be able to set other
properties (e.g. contexts, effort, etc) like they can with other
standard MLO nodes.

2. Let users provide a list of URLs to fetch data from for the To-do
view. This will make sure that your MLO data isn't infested with
"special" nodes. For this option, the user would go someplace under
Tool/Options, and enter a list of URLs for MLO to dynamically populate
data from when the To-do view is active.

The nice thing about RSS/ICS is that they are well established formats
and MLO can pick up specific things, like Due Dates, from them very
eaily to be displayed in the To-do view.

Cons: Because this requires MLO to collect data from external sources,
this feature might introduce performance issues. Also, this feature
will be available only when the user is connected to the internet.

Thanks,
Broto
