There has been a lot of discussion in this forum about gantt and calender views in MLO.
I use MLO constantly and it is by far the most important piece of software I have. (and I must add that I have been very happy with the development of the program over time). Like most people I have adapted my own approach to task management that is a combination of GTD, Do it Tomorrow, Covey Etc. The one area I find cumbersome is my weekly and monthly preview (some call it review). I would love a calender view to help me visually schedule work ahead. This would also make the concepts of start and end dates much more useful for scheduling. I think there is now an example of this type of view in a new piece of software called Mindsystems Amode. It has a tree view like MLO outline but also has a calendar view and a gantt view. The key is that they are only different views of the information - not fully fledged calandar or gantt programs. I think they provide a very good visual planning tool that would significantly enhance the abiltity to plan and schedule tasks in MLO if these type of views were to be included in the software. Even better is the ability to drag and drop in these views to change task info like start and end dates.
